ABOUT ME
I am a graduate of NCAD in Fine Art Print and Education. My studio work is a development of different forms of printmaking and mark making techniques as well as experimentation of different media. This is also influenced by the psychological study and development of the state of mind in certain sleeping patterns and the surreal nightmares of the R.E.M state of dreaming. These experiences and thoughts had lead me into my 3rd year project " my dreams and visions" which includes a series of woodcuts, lino cuts and ink drawings.
As a joint education students my teaching inserts are greatly inspired by my chosen artistic discipline. I have experimented with a number of different printing techniques. Learning how to become a good printmaker has greatly influenced my teaching methodology - to have a customised plan fo individual students so that they can too enjoy the learning in the full potential. Printmaking in the classroom also allows the students to have a part in their leaning experience which I believe is very important in their growth.
